Especially for the adventurous, creative and curious this course is designed for all levels as it will be project based.
If you are starting out we will introduce the 3 basic techniques of handbuilding and help you design and make a sculptural or functional vessel.
If you are more advanced but need technical support then we will work with you to analyse which techniques are best suited to reach your goals.
Success in handbuilding is based on understanding the restrictions of clay and how to adapt techniques to push those boundaries. With this knowledge almost anything is possible.
* During the 1st lesson we will talk about what experience you have and the class will be divided into groups according to this.
* If you have a special technique or project in mind please email us before the classes start so that we can research and structure a program for you.
During the practice sessions you will learn how to work independently as a studio member.
