As we grow and develop, we are reorganizing the studio space to better suit the needs of our community.
Classes and workshops will move upstairs to afford more control and privacy for the instructors and students, as well as to facilitate rental of the space to potters and members to host independent workshops and events.
The hallway upstairs will be converted into a worktable, wash up and storage area for both the Glaze Lab and the new class room.
This means we will no longer have a clay free space or lounge upstairs and the kitchen function will eventually be moved downstairs for members. Coffee and tea will continue to be available upstairs.
The former classroom area and shop downstairs will be redesigned and repurposed to include a kitchen and lounge/dining area for members, more hand-building tables and an expanded glaze area. This is a large and expensive redesign and will take several months to complete. If you have suggestions or concerns, please share them with me directly. These plans are not yet finalized and we welcome input!
