Especially for the adventurous, creative and curious this course is designed for all levels as it will be project based.
Success in handbuilding is based on understanding the restrictions of clay and how to adapt techniques to push those boundaries. With this knowledge almost anything is possible. This workshop will help you to appreciate the versatility and flexibility of handbuilding.
In this 2-hour workshop you will be introduced to coiling, one of the most versatile hand-building methods. You will get 800g of clay to make one of the following: an Aroma Diffuser lamp, Luminaria or Jewelry Box. You can engrave, imprint, decorate and colour them with slip and we will fire and glaze them for you. Pick up of your artwork is 2 weeks after the class as we have to bisque then glaze high fire them for strength and beauty.
