SMELT’s glazes were developed by ceramist and ceramics teacher Nora Nuyts.

These glazes have proven their worth in her courses for years.

They are really very stable and will rarely disappoint.

They behave at their best on a Cone 6 (1222-1240°C), but do not show extreme run-off behavior at slightly higher temperatures (up to cone 8).

The only determining factor for success is the thickness of the glaze layer.
