What is handbuilding?
Begin your pottery journey by exploring handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Learn how to join clay pieces, carve details, and decorate using engobes and slips to add personal flair to your work. These techniques can also be continued at home.
Throwing on a Wheel
Dive into a hands-on wheel-throwing session where you'll learn to wedge, center, and shape clay into basic forms like cylinders. A workshop is a good place to start but throwing is best learned in a multi week course. It takes around 40 hours of practice to build confidence and skill
Paint your Pot!
We end all workshops with decorating..everyones favourite part.
Using coloured glazes, brushes, stamps and creativity you make your piece your own.
Love decorating and want to do more? You can choose a piece of high quality stoneware bisque and paint using our huge range of glazes. We will high fire it for you so that it is durable and beautiful.
